Exhaust Fume Control System

 The build up of dangerous diesel exhaust fumes was a major potential hazard for York based Schofield Contracting whilst working in a confined corridor on a large school development in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

Schofield's turned to Fairfax Plant Hire who fitted exhaust filtration systems to four of their new KUBOTA excavators allowing the works to procveed without any unnecessary delay to the very tight programme.

Fairfax Business Development Manager Mark Love commented "The exhaust particulate filters removed potentially harmful fumes from the workplace , without affecting the operation and efficiency of our excavators. We don't envisage excavators fitted with filters becomimg a major part of our hire fleet but it gives us another string to our bow and allowed us to satisfy a very good customer".
