York’s world famous Minster is currently undergoing a major conservation and restoration project which includes the installation of a stunning, locally sourced stonework disabled access ramp on the Minster Yard side of the building.
With construction work almost finished Brambledown Landscapes from Wetherby were asked to add the finishing touches to the lawned area and called on Selby based plant hire company Fairfax Plant Hire to supply the machinery to complete their task.
Fairfax supplied a 3 Tonne Self Drive Excavator and 3 Tonne Dumper to Brambledown who finished the topsoil and seeding work in only two days.
Sean Easton from Brambledown stated “We were very grateful to Fairfax for supplying the plant at such short notice and for their flexibility in delivering and collecting the plant to suit the traffic restrictions in the centre of York”.
Fairfax also recently delivered a Niftylift 120T Access Platform to another York site at 5.00am to allow essential maintenance on a building in the narrow city centre streets.
